I completely agree with this article:
Bosses behind The X Factor have been defending the low ratings pulled in by the show this weekend. The show received an average of just 11.7 million viewers, 400,000 less than last year's peak of 12.1 million.
Contestants now take to the stage auditioning in front of 2,000. Many disapprove and have criticised the new format stating the show has lost its identity, as contestants no longer have to work their way to towards appearing on the live show.
The show’s new format is also being compared to the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ show which appears earlier in the year being their format also consist of a live audience. Fans of the show have been slating the show saying that the pan shots of the crowd screaming and wailing are annoying and the introduction of the backing track to accompany the contestants voices are just disguising any awful talent.
