Six-year-old Rahel Williams holds up a United States flag during a ceremony where she and 24 other children became U.S. citizens at the Sully Historic Site May 21, 2010 in Chantilly, Virginia. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Washington Field Office held the ceremony for children hailing from 14 countries, including Bangladesh, Iran, China, Turkey and Uganda. Rahel was born in Ethiopia and now lives with her adoptive parents in Virginia. The children said this oath, 'I promise to love this country/I promise to defend her against her enemies/I am proud to be an American/So help me God.'
God bless them. May they grow up to be amazing hyphenated Americans. :)
